#SaveAlappad

Allapad #SAVEALAPPAD #STOPMINNING

You mi8 have been following up here as a citizen and as a person who got to witness Alappadian Fisher Societies fight for their
ri8 I believe I should share the experience and knowledge I received from visiting Allapad

Alappad is a coastal village in the Kollam district of the Indian state Kerala.
It is situated on a narrow strip of land sandwiched between the Arabian Sea and the TS Canal –
the village is approximately 16 km long and its narrowest point is as thin as 33 meters.
Quote on Quote according to Wikipedia

But Alappad is much more than just land it is the birthplace of thousands if not millions of human souls
and People with dreams and people with a desire to be free from their daily fi8 for their human ri8

allapad has a population of 21,655 humans According to Wikipedia 2011.

Alappad has mostly fishing community and the sea dependent and they have already been taken that from them as the part of a mining project
and many government and social aspects.

all this information is just possible because of my voluntary activities in CSCF
that is an Organisation that studies and supports the students and people who are interested in researching the ocean and fisherman community
and are doing an amazing work with that enough about boasting my team but this wouldn’t have been possible without them

this is just an overview follow and get in touch and be a participant in this three part blog and consider following

Festive Lights Portraits

Adimalathura Parish Feast :Coming from a family of Coastal Christian Community and not being too far from Kerala yet I never got an opportunity visit the festival and understand the zealous nature of my community which I felt was about and loving and energetic festival at Adimalathura .

Even though there were a lot to talk and participate , me telling in my words wont do a justice to the experience I had going through the festival .

the amazing stalls for different age group the amazingly tasty and hot food made fresh and served . the awesomely energetic and happy crowd which were all high spirited .

But the thing that caught my eye and got me stare at it like a child was the amazing lighting setup that created an atmosphere that was completely in human and perfect for a shoot and being a typical guy with an interest towards photography and portrait I took a few portraits of my amazing friends and we all along had an amazing evening and I thought about blogging about the experience and inviting you guys to partake in all of the church festivals especially the Adimalathura church festival which gave me an Experience to be remembered

the Adimalathura Church festival takes place at Adimalathura, which is also place for tourism and has amazing view at evening with splendid sunset each time u visit the place .

Puthiyathura

#3 Puthiyatura

Puthiya – New , Tura – shore .

So as you can sense it . I moved from an amazingly awesome place with cool supportive and encouraging group . To a much more Homely and Caring lifestyle . Which was lost in my childhood . Yes , I went to Jima’s house .

If you guys have read my earlier post you guys must have remembered the way we met and knew each other . So TL;dr I met Jima at CSCF center aka Johnson  sir’s settlement .

So as she described Puthiyatura is a awesome place , when we reach there is a “Kurushadi ” Church Station aka a landmark but not so remarkable , she then further explained , as you get out of the bus at Kurushadi you will find Puvalans aka wanderers aka show offs  who stand there not harmful at most cases in fact just to boost you confidence if you are a girl .

There were to roads to reach . Home one which was long and easy to remember . That was the one we have to go through ” godamb road ” literal translation wheat road which is the colour of sand as it is not the tar road and the second one was a short but tricky so as being a badass I carefully heard it . I thought of taking it.

She also noted to tell me all the places that were close to Puthiyatura like Somateeram , Poyikara , Poovar , etc . Just hearing her explain Somateeram and other exquisitive places just gave so much hype I just jumped from the gas cylinder I was sitting and went of to pack my bag .

Btw we left the next day itself .

.
